What: The 2013 JLSF Fashion Showcase: Fashion Forward – Setting Sail into a New Century

Thursday, February 28:

  • A Benefactor Preview Party of the Fashion Boutique Marketplace (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) – featuring 25 hand-selected fashion vendors from the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond
  • White Nights on the Water (8:00 PM - 11:00 PM) – a cocktail party for Bay Area young professionals with a special focus on innovative fashion, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, DJ Chris Clouse and Silent Auction

Friday, March 1:

  • Daytime Shopping in the Fashion Boutique Marketplace (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) – VIP ticket holders receive a tote from Toss Boutique
  • Fashion by the Book – a seminar and interview series hosted by fashion-industry insiders
  • The 87th Annual JLSF Fashion Show (6:00 PM - Midnight) – this year’s Black Tie runway show will continue to feature JLSF members as models and will feature designs by Athleta, Brooks Brothers, Fashion Incubator San Francisco, Janie and Jack, Jin Wang, Kirribilla, Trina Turk, Wacoal and more. The special evening will begin with a high-end cocktail party, bountiful hors d’oeuvres and food stations from Paula LeDuc Fine Catering, and will include a Live Auction and, of course, a spectacular runway show with up-close runway seating

Saturday, March 2:

  • Daytime Shopping in the Fashion Boutique Marketplace (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) – VIP ticket holders receive a tote from Toss Boutique
  • Mimosas & Monograms Presented by Toss Boutique – and Tots & Trucks (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM) – an engaging, family-friendly event featuring children’s fashion and children’s activities - along with activities for the parents!
  • The Children’s Fashion Show Presented by Janie & Jack (1:00 PM) – a daytime runway show featuring children’s fashion, including a boxed lunch

Background: For the past 86 years, the annual JLSF Fashion Show has been one of the premier fundraising events in San Francisco, making it the longest-running event of its kind in the nation, and has raised millions of dollars in San Francisco and surrounding communities.

New Format: The Junior League of San Francisco will continue the incredible tradition of the Fashion Show, while also expanding the event into a major, new type of fashion and shopping fundraiser. This multi-day Fashion Showcase will include special events that will appeal to a broader group of attendees than in years past, including families, young professionals, those newly acquainted with the Junior League and the sponsors and patrons who have so generously supported the JLSF Fashion Show for the past 86 years.

Attendance: Approximately 1,500 guests will attend the three-day shopping event. Guests include community and civic leaders, corporate benefactors, individual patrons, celebrities, JLSF members and other supporters.

Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

Junior League of San Francisco History: Over the last 101 years, the JLSF has provided the community with more than 6 million volunteer hours and over $24 million through direct community grants, advocacy and member training and development.
