Format: The Junior League of San Francisco, Inc. (JLSF) Fashion Show is a breathtaking, professionally-produced by Macy's and full of excitement! Each Show also features a fabulous silent auction and live auction.
Background: The Fashion Show is one of the premier fundraising events in San Francisco, and has raised millions of dollars for San Francisco and surrounding communities. This year will mark the eighty-fourth year that the JLSF has held this special event, making it the longest-running event of its kind in the nation.
Attendance: Approximately 1,500 guests will attend the Lunch and Dinner Fashion Shows. Guests include community and civic leaders, corporate benefactors, individual patrons, celebrities, JLSF members and other supporters.
Junior League of San Francisco's Mission Statement: The Junior League of San Francisco, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
Junior League of San Francisco History: Over the last 99 years, the JLSF has provided the community with more than 6 million volunteer hours and over $22 million through direct community grants, advocacy and member training and development. Focus Area for 2007 – 2012: Support and Strengthen Families in Need
Community Programs Supported in 2009/2010: Compass Community Services, the International Rescue Committee, San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center and Support for Families of Children with Disabilities.
