The Institute on Aging needs our help! Let’s spread cheer to seniors!

The IOA is looking to us to help brighten the days of seniors across the country, as they are particularly vulnerable to loneliness during this time we need to participate in social distancing. This is a wonderful way to connect with others from home!

Here’s what the Institute on Aging is requesting from JLSF members & friends:

1. Videos of your kids singing “Happy Birthday”
2. Videos of kids reading a story they wrote or displaying and explaining a drawing.
3. No kids? No problem! Adults can also write an uplifting note, or draw a card to share with our senior friends. Take a pic of your note and send it in! Cute furry friends can be incorporated too!

Please address letters and sing to “Dear friend”! Share your videos and pictures to IOAoutreach@jlsf.org. Please submit as many pictures and videos as you would like – this is an ongoing project.
