Jennifer Johnston - President

Jennifer JohnstonJennifer joined the Junior League of San Francisco in 1996. She has served on the Enabling Funds, Provisional Education, Advocacy, Web, Fashion Show, Strategic Planning, and Cookbook committees. Her leadership experience includes serving as a Provisional Education Vice Chair, Fashion Show Steering Committee member, Advocacy co-Chair, Web co-Chair, and Strategic Planning Chair. She has served on the Board three times as Communications Council Director, Vice President and most recently as President-elect. Jennifer is a Vice President and Analyst at Franklin Templeton Investments. When she isn't working or volunteering, she enjoys travel, photography and cooking.

Jenna Wrobel – President-Elect

Jenna WrobelJenna has been a member of The Junior League of San Francisco since 2000. She has been a member of Area Reps (now MAC), Home Tour, Provisional Education, Nominating, and Sequoia Healthy Start. Jenna’s leadership experience includes Home Tour Steering Committee and Placement Co-Chair for two years. She has previously served on the JLSF Board as Membership Council Director and Vice President.

Michelle Branch - Vice President

Michelle BranchMichelle has volunteered with the JLSF since 2008, and JLSF named her Active of the Year for her 2010-11 leadership. During her tenure, Michelle has focused on community impact--as Community Programs Council Director, Chair of the Compass Family Services Committee, and a member of the Emerging Issues and Signature Program committees. Her other JLSF experiences have included membership in the Grantmaking, Membership, and Fundraising councils. Committed to women's entrepreneurship and empowerment, Michelle also serves on the board of La Cocina (a kitchen incubator located in San Francisco's Mission District), and as a Co-Chair of the Women's Leadership Council of the United Way Bay Area.

Christie Hurta - Vice President

Christie HurtaChristie joined the Junior League in 1996. This year, she will reprise her role as Vice President, which was also her position in 2011 - 2012. She has previously served on the Board as Membership Development Council Director and VP, and has also chaired Arts Outreach (now CAO), Volunteer Training & Development, Membership Outreach (now ROC), Area REPS (now MAC) and NTN/CB.  She has also been involved as a committee member with Provisional Ed, Fashion Show, Advocacy and Public Policy, Placement and Nominating, as well as having been a part of numerous ad hoc committees, including "Go Green!," and "Disaster Preparedness." In her spare time, Christie enjoys watching the SF Giants and the 49ers, attending the Opera, Ballet, and Symphony, reading and travelling.

Lynn Warneka - Treasurer

Lynne WarnekaLynn joined the Junior League in 2005 and previously served on the Board as Treasurer-elect. Lynn served on the Finance Committee for many years, the Signature Program Development Committee and was Assistant Treasurer for Home Tour. She has also served on other committees including Arts Outreach, Compass Community Services, San Francisco School Volunteers and several ad hoc committees throughout the years.

Emily Hall - Treasurer Elect

Emily HallEmily has enjoyed volunteering, developing herself and others, and improving the community with The Junior League of San Francisco since 2009. Most recently, Emily served as the Finance Committee Chair and Assistant Treasurer, Home Tour. She also previously served on Volunteer Training and Development, Done In A Day, Provisional Education and Home Tour.

Sabrina Lowell-Parliamentarian

Sabrina LowellSabrina joined the San Francisco Junior League in 2005. She served as the Fundraising Council Director in 2011-2012 and previously spent a number of years on the Fashion Show Committee. Sabrina looks forward to tackling the role of Parliamentarian and continuing to help increase the JLSF's impact and visibility in the community.

Jennifer Kurrie - Corresponding Secretary

Jennifer KurrieJennifer joined the JLSF in 2004 after relocating from Washington, DC. This year she serves as the Corresponding Secretary. Her past committee experience includes Membership Development Council Director, Chair of MAC, Recruitment and Outreach as well as a Vice Chair and Advisor on Provisional Education. She has also served on the Placement Committee.

Jillian Bales – Strategic Development

Jillian BalesJillian Bales, Strategic Development Council Director, has been with the JLSF for 9 years and in the Junior League for 10, doing her provisional year in Palo Alto. Since that time, she has served as Treasurer of the Home Tour, Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer of the JLSF, chaired Community Program Development, chaired Corporate Solicitations, served on Nominating, and has Chaired Strategic Development for the past two years. She works for Wells Fargo Bank in their Global Banking Group as the lead on Training in the Global Expansion Team. She and her husband Thom live in the Inner Richmond with their three daughters Talbot (5), Morgan and Emmy (3 year old twins) and their black lab Winston.

Courtney Bocci - Fundraising

Courtney BocciCourtney joined the Junior League of San Francisco in 2005. During her provisional year she volunteered at the Fashion Show and was immediately impressed with the polish and professionalism of the event. She joined the Fashion Show committee the following year and in 2010 she chaired the 84th Annual Fashion Show. She has spent the following years as a member of the Nominating Committee, but is excited to return to the fundraising side of the League as the Fundraising Council Director this year.

Tammy Braas-Hill - Sustainer Council

Tammy Braas-HillTammy joined the Junior League in 1992 upon the invitation of a former colleague and has served as member for 20 years. She has been on Junior League’s Board of Directors as Fundraising Council Director (2005-2006), Corresponding Secretary (2008-2009) and this year she is honored to be Sustainer Council Director. Over the past 20 years, she has served on ten committees: La Casa de las Madres, Transfers, Fashion Show, Home Tour, Provisional Education, Nominating, Strategic Planning, Finance, Cookbook, and Portable Project (which became the Empowerment Project). She has also chaired many committees, included Next-to-New/Consignment Boutique, Merchandising, Endowment Fund, Co. Chair of the 95th Anniversary Ad Hoc in 2006, and the 16th Annual Home Tour – Into The Wood in St. Francis Wood in 2010, and last year she chaired the San Francisco Entertains Cookbook committee. She feels fortunate to have met and worked with many great women in the League and very fortunate to be a member of such an amazing organization. She was the recipient of the JLSF Active of the Year for 2003-2004. Tammy is also a member of the Metropolitan Club, San Francisco Garden Club and SFCASA Guild. Tammy has been married to her husband Randy for over 26 years – he was her high school sweetheart.

Katie Colendich - Community Programs

Katie ColendichKatie Colendich joined the JLSF in 2008. Her leadership experience with the League has been focused on Community Programs and includes chairing the Janet Pomeroy Center Committee and serving as a Vice-Chair of the Compass Family Services Committee. Her other experience has included membership on the Community Arts Outreach and Done-in-a-Day Committees. She looks forward to working with the League’s five outstanding Community Programs for the 2012–2013 League year.

Janey McWhorter - Grant Making Council Director

Janey McWhorterJaney joined the JLSF in 2004, after transferring from the Junior League of Los Angeles. During her time in the JLSF, Janey has focused on the grant making efforts of the JLSF, having served as Community Program Development Chair and Enabling Funds co-Chair for two years. Additionally, she has also participated as a member of the Enabling Funds, Done in a Day, Provisional Education, and Transfer committees.

Heidi Quan - Membership

Heidi QuanHeidi joined the San Francisco Junior League in 2008. Since that time, she has served on the Compass Family Services, Placement and Nominating committees. She was also a first year advisor/mentor for the Recruitment and Outreach committee. For the last two years, she has served as the Placement Co-Chair.

Amanda Sargisson - Communications Council Director

Amanda SargissonAmanda Sargisson joined the JLSF in 2006. This year she serves as the Communications Council director and is part of the Home Tour Steering committee. Her leadership experience with the League includes chairing the Marketing/PR and Fogcutter committees. As a first year active, Amanda was on the Arts Outreach committee.

Kelley Maltais – Nominating Chair

Kelley MaltaisKelley joined the Junior League of Orange County in 1998 where she chaired the annual Provisional Bus Tour and Luncheon for her provisional class. She transferred to The Junior League of San Francisco in 1999 and has enjoyed her placements in the Membership Development, Fundraising, Strategic Development, Communication and Grant Making councils. Kelley's leadership positions include Vice President, Membership Development Council Director, co-chairing Placement and Membership Outreach and serving on the Home Tour steering committee and Nominating, often being double placed. Kelley has been a model in the Fashion Show multiple times.

Karlotta DesJarlais – Senior SPAC and Public Affairs Council Director

Karlotta DesJarlaisKarlotta has long been involved in the JLSF’s advocacy efforts both locally and statewide. Karlotta has severed as a member and chair of our Advocacy Committee, Junior SPAC and now Senior SPAC and Council Director for our Public Affairs Council. She has also served as a member of our Next-to-New Thrift Shop and Consignment Boutique. Karlotta has also transferred her JLSF skills through her volunteer work with other Bay Area non-profits.

Alexis Bayer – President’s Assistant

Alexis BayerAlexis joined the Junior League of Washington, D.C. in 2009. Following her transfer to San Francisco, she served on the Home Tour VIP House Steering Committee and as the President's Assistant. For the current League year, she will serve as the President’s Assistant and as a Provisional Education Advisor. Alexis is a Senior Regional Manager at the National Association of Manufacturers. When not volunteering or traveling to Washington, D.C. for work, she enjoys travel and spending time with rescue animals.
