JLSF’s Advocacy Committee engages in projects that address our focus area of advancing the social and emotional health of the youth and the elderly.
Since 2016, the JLSF has held an annual diaper drive to support Help a Mother Out, a nonprofit organization that provides diapers, raises awareness, and advocates for long-term change in the social safety net. The JLSF’s contribution helps bolster the social and emotional health of mothers and babies by creating stability and opportunities for families living in poverty in the Bay Area.
Year-round, you can help the JLSF support Help a Mother Out by donating diapers at our annual diaper drive, five days a week at our headquarters building, online, or at our annual Touch-a-Truck event:
- Online Diaper Registry – Please purchase diapers through our Amazon registry – it will ship directly to Help A Mother Out – and feel free to share the link with your friends!
- JLSF Headquarters Collection Bin – Bring diapers to our headquarters building during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday 9am-5pm) – ON HOLD DUE TO COVID-19
- General Meeting Collection Bins – Bring leftover or new cartons of fresh diapers for the collection bin – ON HOLD DUE TO COVID-19
- Touch-A-Truck – Drop off diapers at our collection bin at our annual Touch-a-Truck event
