Diaper Drive

JLSF’s Advocacy Committee engages in projects that address our focus area of advancing the social and emotional health of the youth and the elderly.

A diaper drive was held in support of Help a Mother Out, a nonprofit organization that provides diapers, raises awareness, and advocates for long-term change in the social safety net. The JLSF’s contribution helps bolster the social and emotional health of mothers and babies by creating stability and opportunities for families living in poverty in the Bay Area.

In November and December 2016, JLSF donated more than 6,000 diapers to Help a Mother Out, exceeding our goal by more than 1,000 diapers.

Year-round, you can help the JLSF support Help a Mother Out by donating diapers at our annual diaper drive, five days a week at our headquarters building, online, or at our annual Touch-a-Truck event:

  • JLSF Headquarters Collection Bin – Bring diapers to our headquarters building during regular business hours (Monday-Thursday 11am-5pm, Friday 9am-5pm)
  • Online Diaper Registry – Purchase diapers through our Amazon registry to be shipped directly to Help A Mother Out, and share the link with your friends
  • General Meeting Collection Bins: Bring leftover or new cartons of fresh diapers for the collection bin.
  • Touch-A-Truck – Drop off diapers at our collection bin at our annual Touch-a-Truck event
