In honor of our 111th anniversary, the Junior League of San Francisco (JLSF) would like to show our continued support of the San Francisco Community by launching a one-time special grant process. JLSF seeks to provide funding to 26 San Francisco-based organizations that support programs that are in alignment with our Mission Statement and/or Focus Area:

JLSF Mission Statement:

The Junior League of San Francisco, Inc. (JLSF) is an organization of women whose Mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

JLSF Focus Area:

Bridging the gap of essential needs in the San Francisco community. Essential Needs encompasses a number of issues, but we target our work within three pillars: Housing, Food, and Basic Personal Necessities.

Grants will awarded as follows:

•  5 grants of $10,000

• 10 grants of $5,000

• 11 grants of $1,000

• Total: $111,000

These grants will be for general operating support of the organizations and cannot be used to sponsor fundraising events.

This grant application is open to all community organizations and not just limited to 501c3s.

To be eligible for a JLSF 111th Anniversary Grant, organizations must meet the following requirements:

• Submit a completed grant application.

• Demonstrate that the organization’s mission aligns with the JLSF Mission Statement and/or Focus Area.

• Serve communities located in the County of San Francisco.

Awardee organization names will be included in Junior League of San Francisco press releases and outreach but will not be associated with the dollar amount awarded.

Grantees at the $10,000 level will be asked to provide an organizational update within six months of receiving the funds. This does not need to be tied directly to the funds received but rather an update on your work.

Applications open on 11:00pm on November 9, 2022.

Applications are due by 11:00pm PST on January 30, 2023.
